Corporate events almost focus entirely on logistics and leave experience as an afterthought. I’m challenging C-suite decision makers to view corporate events from a strategic level. The problem with “function-first” events is that they don’t resonate with attendees and can be easily forgotten.
Before a speaker takes the stage or a presentation begins, attendees are already forming an impression – based on the environment, atmosphere, and visual cues. Design sets the emotional context in which the message is received. Think of floral and decor design as the silent communicator.
A gathering of people is more than just putting them in a room. It means creating a conducive environment that is elevated, electrifies, and awakens the senses while they bask in the diversity of thought amongst the group. Adding floral and decor design to a room where people are gathered increases mood, energy, perception, attention, and value. Corporate events set the tone for sales, marketing, and brand recognition. They energize attendees, reinforce culture, and leave a lasting impression.
As a floral designer, anytime I work with corporate clients, I think about how florals can complement their event and make people feel appreciated. This is not about a floral takeover. It’s about putting the needs of the client first and making sure that their message always takes center stage.
How to make your corporate event unforgettable? Let’s start by dispelling the myth that an event has to be extravagant to be memorable. The real impact of a corporate event should be intentional, brand aligned, and scaled appropriately to the audience and space. Unforgettable events feel cohesive, considered, and purposeful – where every design choice supports the overall experience.

Whether you are into flowers or not, my goal for a corporate event is always to make the floral design feel like an intentional, thoughtful, and appreciative gesture that creates a memorable environment for all to enjoy.
